Guardianship and Case Management Assistance

Senior Resources provides substitute decision making for vulnerable adults of any age. This includes guardianships and conservatorships representative payees through Social Security or power of attorney responsibilities. Clients, families or professional organizations can make referrals or requests when an adult has been deemed not capable in managing personal affairs. Guidance and support is provided to assure a safe and stable living environment within the community or a facility with services. Trustee services also available.

In a less restrictive relationship, Senior Resources offers case management services that may include sorting of mail, balancing a check book, paying bills or helping with any other financial issues and communication and collaborating with family and housing facilities.

AARP Tax Aide Service

The Tax Aide Service offers free basic tax preparation for persons of any age that are considered low to moderate income. Federal and state returns are prepared by trained and certified volunteer tax counselors. For the 2012 tax year that was filed in 2013, tax counselors donated over 2,000 hours of their time and served 1,105 clients, and processed 2,273 returns. Preparation service is available three days per week from February 1st through April 15th of each year, with extended services (by appointment) for rent and property tax refunds until August 31st. Nearly 98% of returns are filed electronically through the TaxWise computerized e-filing system. For more information, contact us at
